From an early age, I explored the wilderness, rural, and urban environments and learned to value nature, knowledge through education, and creativity paired with practicality ......these values still resonate with me today.
Our firm brings over 30 years of experience working with architects, homeowners, developers, and multi-disciplinary teams delivering exceptional solutions that create a sense of place and reflect the importance of landscape in the built environment. Our design process is collaborative with all staff contributing their skills, and a principal or senior associate actively involved with each project regardless of size or complexity.
We consider our design solutions carefully to meet the needs of the client through a balance between indoor and outdoor spaces. We approach this work without preconception; each and every solution is a direct expression of the site and collaboration with the design team.
Our team places emphasis on leadership in sustainable accreditation and education, and works to keep abreast of changes to industry standards that influence design. Our aim is to create beautiful and enduring spaces that are regionally grounded and respectful of water quality and consumption, soil conditions, and indigenous materials.
Whether acting as prime consultant or a member of a multi-disciplinary team, ISD leads in the development of projects which are based on inclusive collaboration and that result in the most successful expression of design- a lasting benefit for all users.
